A garden in every classroom
FROM SCREEN TO GREEN
The combined effects of the recent pandemic and the excessive digitalization of education have taken their toll on students' well-being, patience, attention spans and sense of community and belonging. At Vireo, we believe in reconnecting students with what matters. We believe each child and educator deserves to grow through meaningful experiences – that's our pledge.
AN ALL-IN-ONE SYSTEM THAT WORKS FROM DAY ONE
TEACH
Vireo is, first and foremost, an online educational dashboard accompanying you through every step of growing and caring for your school garden. Whether with Vireo's awe-inspiring indoor hydroponics system or with your own outdoor initiative, the dashboard will guide you through curriculum-aligned project-based lessons and engaging environmental and community initiatives to successful crops.
GROW
Vireo's indoor hydroponic garden is a recirculating system capable of supporting 99 plants. The beautiful piece ensures a year-round indoor gardening experience that is free from odors and bugs. With the ability to yield up to four harvests annually, it serves as a valuable resource for project-based STEAM learning lessons and community projects and initiatives.
CONNECT
Included with Vireo's educational dashboard and hydroponics garden is real, human, helpful, efficient and competent accompaniment and guidance. Our dedicated team of educational and hydroponics experts will provide you with punctual and on-request sessions to make sure you are making the best possible use of Vireo's technology.
Students cultivate social connections and a sense of community, nurturing their overall well-being away from screens.
Vireo lessons align with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals for Education.
Our 99-plant hydroponic garden yields up to 4 harvests annually, engaging students year-round and providing ample teaching opportunities, along with a significant vegetable yield.
Students gain a positive environmental awareness that equips them to effectively address future challenges.
“Adding the Vireo project to my classroom has ignited a passion for lifelong learning in my students.
They will come to the school excited to tell me that they looked something up because they had a thought about the garden. Having them come between lessons just to pick and eat a green bean has made all this worth it. ”
